My Love For Shoes Started…
Selfridges Shoe Department, London.
I have always had a LOVE of shoes, as early as I can remember. My mother would buy me genuine Italian leather shoes. They would look nice, feel even nicer, and last the wear and tear of my teenage years.
From the moment I was employed with a regular wage (in cash back in the 80’s), I would spend my lunch hour in a shoe shop named ‘Scarpers’ in Perth city. They had the most amazing European made, colourful shoes and my pay packet would be spent (wisely!) on one or two of these beautiful shoes per season. I would wear them ‘to death’ and love every moment in them.
Throughout my years as a flight attendant I was fortunate to spend my holidays in overseas destinations. My love of shoes compelled me to search the shoe shops for fashionable, European made shoes. This enabled me to inject new life into my wardrobe, while establishing an array of shoes to suit all occasions, and many outfits.

It is of no surprise to me, and many of my family, closest friends and colleagues, that I have created Louise M around my LOVE for shoes. I cannot think of a more appropriate business for me to be involved in. Now, I travel to Europe and find shoes not only for me, but to benefit other women too.
During February, travel to London and Milan will enable me to visit some of my favourite shoe stores. These include Selfridges shoe department on Oxford St, Dior and Prada on Sloane St, and ‘Shoe Heaven’ within Harrods in London. I enjoy the experience these stores provide with beautiful displays and an extensive range of shoes to admire. My heart palpitates faster, yet my pace slows to spend time appreciating the shoe designs and craftsmanship.
The styles, the colours, the quality, the choice, and a purchase or two complete the shoe shopping experience for me. The flight home involves careful handling of the shoeboxes and the valuable contents, often carried as hand luggage.
When choosing shoes for Louise M, I use my experience as an airline flight attendant, and knowledge gained from actually wearing many shoes over 17 years, while working. Combining this with my eye for design and appropriateness for corporate environments, classic leather shoes are selected for not only the ability to stand the test of wear, but to stand the test of fashion style, and many hours on your feet.

It is amazing how a shoe can take you from feeling ordinary to extraordinary!
A new confidence comes over you, an improved posture appears, pride develops in your clothes choices, and on lookers notice. All achieved simply by the shoes you choose to wear. Choose wisely, choose quality, choose to be extraordinary.
The biggest reward for me is to see the elation in my customer’s face when they completely understand why Louise M shoes are unique. A ‘light bulb moment’ and perhaps the beginning of a new LOVE (of shoes) affair for someone else!
Thank you to Selfridges and Harrods for the gorgeous images.
